Hi
Does anyone in this world, like to provide information on replacement windows?
I just had a guy on the phone looking to give me a quote. When I asked
Why do I need toughened glass?
Why is Triple Glazing not as good as advertised for noise reduction compared to double glazing?
Why is Triple Glazing not sold with a deeper frame, therefore would give better noise reduction than double glazing?
As I believe the space between glass gives the greater noise reduction? I may be wrong there.
Oh and being told it is a fad!! Well Sweden seems to like triple glazing, and Greek nightclubs do as well..for different reasons..ie noise!!
What percentage of gas is pumped into the double glazing, as I have heard that this is way of keeping costs down...sell double glazing with less gas!
Apart from not looking good, why is Secondary glazing no good...something from the 70's I was told!! Anyway the wife won't like secondary glazing even if the best solution to noise reduction!!
Anyway, before I got to the end of the first question, I was asked if I was interested in a quote, and I said only if I could ask some questions.
At that point the guy on the phone, said ok no worries and put the phone down!!
What is it with people, not wanting to provide honest professional information!!
Anyway, if anyone can help provide me with answers/links etc I will promise not to rant
