RENTING OUT SHELF SPACE

Hi I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I make straw baskets that have been updated with with different type of materials. I'm looking at finding shops where I can showcase them. I live in Kent but willing to travel. Thank you in advance

Years back, we used to sell greeting cards. We used to go to shops and offer a sale or return policy. So, we charged them £0 upfront. If they sold anything, we would take a slice of profits.

Best to check your local shops and ask them if they are interested. There is always online too, with places like eBay, Amazon, etc

What about local sunday, village, town markets. I've notice these have become very artisan lately with loads of good quality arts and crafts stuff.

We stock a number of small local artists and crafty people on a sale or return basis. Works well for both us and then.

Could you pop on the events and networking section and go into your local area and out a post up in there, to see if you can make new connections. Also i dont know what types of baskets you make but one thing you could sell them to shops so they can put items inside them as a set, or use them as their shopping basket for the countryside farmer stile shops

Hi Sophie, I am in the process of opening a retail shop and looking for suppliers. I can assure you it's equally as daunting from the other side! I'd be interested in baskets though....

I will be attending Autumn Fair next month to find suppliers which I believe is one of the biggest showcases in the country. Not sure of the fees for traders but maybe the Spring one is one for you to look at.
