Hi, I am setting up a predominantly online business.I don't need to meet and greet custmers, there are a few 'media centres' and 'hubs' near me who rent address but I was wondering are there any other options for me here?
PO BOX does not sound too thrilling. And my home address would not look good either.

Thanks.

Virtual office with a mail forwarding function. Plenty available which gives you a choice of addresses and for a minimal cost (usually monthly)

That's the key word I was thinking of. 'Virtual Office'.

There's a chance I will be out the country a lot, so a forwarding address sounds good. There is a place near me that does this...

I am thinking if it is best my business appears to be situated in a city as opposed to a town, would I have to find a virtual address providor in a city or can a virtual address be surly bought anywhere and situated anywhere? Or does the providor have to have a physical space in that particular city?

Why would your home address not look good?
Lots of companies have home address listed as the business address.

A little late to the Virtual Office party. But I see new startups and businesses that want to establish a virtual presence daily.

It's worth noting that Google will not accept a virtual office as a 'local listing' unless it has a manned reception and has a public business centre presence.

Re the £39.99 per year. That is a great price! But be wary of what you're buying we just about break even at £45.00 per year for a business and director registration at our site. But this is only because of the volumes of orders we get, the economies of scale work for us.

Make sure you read all the additional charges correctly. A lot of virtual office sites mark up all handling and storage of postage hugely. I have made sure our clients have the ability to book meeting rooms and truly have a presence in Gloucester to meet their clients if they need to.

Hope that helps.

I have used a few virtual offices. If you are aiming for business from search pick a big city.

Check the post forwarding costs - this is the main area that can really add on the cost. Some of them will not accept package deliveries - beware. And, some will not hold your mail for you.

All need to check that you exist - money laundering laws.

If you need to register with Google My Business for your website - register first - but don't follow through to the confirmation stage. The reason for this is that some virtual offices have so many businesses at their address Google will not allow more Google My Business registrations at that address.
