Removing 301 redirect

I have a 301 redirect from one of my sites to another of my sites.

I now feel that this may have been a misjudgement and want to remove the 301 redirect so that both sites regain their own identity.

Are there any problems that I could encounter doing this?

you need to remove the 301 redirect, and then file a re-inclusion request at Google for the domain that was 301'ed.

Understand that you will lose any benefit from the 301 redirect to the target domain.

i think no problem. Remove carefully that 301 code from you .htaccess file.
