Removal of dissolved company from Companies House

Hi all,

Hoping this is the right forum, couldn't find a more specific sub-forum.

As the title suggests I'm looking to remove a dissolved company from the Companies House registrar, which I naively registered when I had a big idea before ultimately deciding I could work self-employed instead (far more straight forward). The company never traded and I applied for it to be struck off the register 6 months later, which was completed.

Due to my naivety I'd used my residential address at that time as the registered address and on the documentation, and I don't particularly like the idea of that data being readily available. Equally the same address is listed as the correspondence address under Director in the Officers area.

After some reading as far as I can tell I can pay to have the address removed from the documents but not from the registered office, or the directors correspondence address.

Can anybody shed any light or advice?

Kind regards,
George

As @WaveJumper states, the record is there for another 20 years. It's written in law, you can't do anything about that.
The only thing you can do, if you are vulnerable or at risk of harm, is apply to the Courts for a court order to have your residential address on the file be remove. You'll only be able to have this done though if you can prove that your life is at risk, at risk of harm, by it being there on the public record. Just not liking it being public is not justification enough I'm afraid.

If it was not dissolved yes but his details would always show if his home address was the registered address of the company. It is as the OP said something he and for the record others need to seriously consider when first setting up company, I believe it even warns you on the CH website before proceeding with registration.
