Hi everbody,

I am quite new to this section of UKBF. Actually We're (me and my partner) in a process of setting up a remote assistance Co. offering both PC & IT support to home users as well as SMEs. It wouldn't really be on a very large scale however we expect to take on limited work so that we're able to deliver what we promise.

I was also thinking of setting up an alliance with a Co. that could offer hardware or onsite support so that if we can go ahead and offer a comprehensive service to our customers.

Need some suggestions please -

How do we go about finding such a company as we're going to offer an absolutely economical service considering the current market condition & hence we want to tie up with a Co. who're prepared to cut down on their normal charges which we can offer as an incentive.

Look forward to getting some advise!

Thanks

Sumit

Hi Sumit,

I think you'll find it hard to find a UK based IT company able to cut it's prices to match your India based "economical" pricing, as they have totally different overheads.

You'd probably be better off contracting your onsite work to individuals rather than companies.
It's a novel idea - outsourcing IT work from India to UK technicians :D

Onsite is generally a bit of a loss leader to gain custom in the UK. Most prefer to fix remote or have the item bought into base for repair, so you might do it for a preferred customer or just initially to touch base.

If you are looking for something the UK does need, copy writing is a good one, 'economical' copy writers is something a lot of sites would like.
