I'm sure this question has been asked a million times, but I can't seem to find a concrete answer.
If a company is already registered with Companies House using 'Limited', can you create a company with the same name but using 'Ltd'. Some people I speak to say that you can't, but others say you can.
For example, let's say I want to register 'Doe Consulting Ltd', but 'Doe Consulting Limited' is already incorporated, would I be able to? My first though was that it wouldn't be possible, but looking at companies house there was a period of a year where both Ltd and Limited were registered at the same time (the Ltd version has been dissolved since 2015).
