Refurbished Items on eBay

Hi there,

I quite often see items being sold with the refurbished label on ebay.

Can anyone advise how you go about this? (as a seller)

In my niche I often refurbish/upgrade and sell on equipment (using only genuine parts) but it seems to be a bit of a nightmare to get the status on my items on ebay?

What category do you list your refurbished products in? If you google search 'refurbished tag on ebay uk' the first search result from eBay tells you all you need to know.

Like a lot of the selling platforms, they don't make anything easy.

All the more reason to get your own store on your website.

You would need to upgrade your profile to shop and then eBay gives you the option to list items as refurbished.

There's a good market in the refurbished sector, I work for a company who sells returned/refurbished stock on eBay and they're doing roughly around £3-4 million per year across 2 eBay shops.

Just be prepared for people who are expecting items like brand new even though the price is reduced, we must get around 35% of all orders returned back for refunds.
