Hi Guys,

I am currently in the process of starting a catalogue for my business, just with our general swag in there, (what we do, where we are, products). We have been going for 8 years but have NEVER had a catalogue, i haven't really felt the need as we have a website with all of this on; however i feel business to business it will be good for me to be able to supply my customers with them or take them to monthly networking meetings etc ...

I have had a few prices from different marketing type companies and they seem to be REALLY expensive and do not offer short runs, i would like to run a trial and get feedback before i commit to 1000.

Is there anybody that can recommend a company for this? Alternatively i am computer literate and feel as though i could probably do this myself with the right software! So if anybody knows of any software that is good for the type of thing then i would LOVE to hear about it!!

Thanks a bunch xx

:)

Hi There

I say this blindly, but I am just trying to get you to check your decision here as you say you are successful and been running for 8 years online, why go offline then?

Why don't you spend your money on something like an iPad app or something that will use mobile devices to browse your catalog? This could effectvely run off your existing backend and would be easily updated?

Hi,

Thanks for your reply, we will still have our website etc .. however this is directed at the public mainly, we have a lot of requests from our trade customers for some sort of catalogue that they can take away from networking meetings or appointments.

However, i like the idea of an APP or something along these lines, do you offer this service? Or can you recommend somebody who does so i can get an idea of costing?

Thanks

Best software for building a catalogue or brochure is Indesign along side photoshop if you are investing in both the CS suit would suit your needs best. Its a professional sofware programme so decide if you can use it to its full advantage before buying. You can download a trail version for a short period of time which might get you out of a pickle.

Not limited to but points to note before printing.
All images must be high res 300dpi.
CMYK for print.

There are lots of tutorials online.
Best of luck.
