Recommended blogs and vlogs?

It has been a while since I looked in to the world of SEO and PPC so what little knowledge I had on the subject is now well and truly out of date.

So I'm looking for some blogs and vlogs that will bring me up to date on what is currently thought of as good practice and what should be avoided. I'm not looking for anything overly detailed as I will probably bring someone in when the time is right, I just want to make sure I dont do anything now that I will need to undo at a latter date.

I've visited SEO Moz many times but not Jon Coopers site. Thanks I will check it out.

As a bit of a side note has anyone paid for membership of theses sites? Was it worth it?

The quality of the free stuff on their sites is very good so I would expect the paid for stuff to be exceptional

inbound.org is good for keeping up with the latest industry news.
It's always good to read through Google's guidelines if you haven't already.

I'd really only pay for moz if you had need to use the tools (such as the open site explorer).

-Neon- So no real benefit for a mostly DIYer when it comes to SEO?

HubSpot used to have some really good and easy to follow vlogs but they seem to have stopped them

Hubspot do have the free training through their "academy" its more inbound marketing than straight SEO stuff but I think it would definitely be worthwhile for most small business owners. They explain inbound without a lot of references to technical jargon so its pretty accessible and there are tests you can take.
