Recommend me the best facebook marketing book 2018

I would like to read a book that explains thoroughly how facebook marketing works.
It should explain about target groups, ROI, how to create Facebook AD and use new features like lookAlike etc.

And other tricks like Analyse User data and so on.

Can you recommend a really good book

Such a book doesn’t exist. All the answers are online, you just need to spend a couple of months doing your research and lots of testing.

I just did a £150 targeted ad on facebook and was really really really surprised by the results.

What I found was that the majority of the 4000 eyes on the ad were from some kind of scam. The accounts were mostly last updated in June 2017 and had a maximum of 2 posts on them. However, the activity for going round and liking stuff was immense.

I thought to myself, surely facebook are not part of this scam. But to be honest it seems they are happy to be banking the money.

If you do a little research you will see this sort of thing has been going on for years and has been exposed by the BBC and other outlets. The scam is reckoned to be set up so that websites can sell GENUINE facebook likes. Facebook themselves removed a ton of accounts recently but based on my results I would say they have not even scratched the surface.

II certainly won't be using Facebook ads again. I would also suggest that if you do spend your hard earned with them that you check some of the accounts out that are putting their eyes on your offer. Advertising to people who are just part of a click farm is not going to be money well spent.

Pond life is the word. But I also believe Facebook themselves are complicit in this fraud because it really would not be hard for them to spot this pattern. FFS it took me all of 5 minutes to see all was not well.

Here is a great article from 2014 no less that highlights how the fraud works and why. My 2018 experience is that facebook ads continue to be almost completely worthless.

PS. My target market was set really tight. New York actually and the results were as I described.

No point trying to find a book that covers how facebook marketing works at the rate things are changing all these books including ebooks will be outdated by the time a few people have read them.
