Recommend an SEO company for facebook?

For most of our websites we consider Facebook an utter waste of time, however for our latest website we thing that facebook will work quite well.

Our products are quite niche and our target market is very sociable, and get together a lot to meetup. Amongst these groups of people the brand names of the goods we sell are very well known, and when it comes to suppliers they are very much "word of mouth".

So we're looking at using facebook to generate traffic and interest, rather than using it for SEO purposes.

But we really have no idea how to attract lots of 'likes' and followers to our facebook page, other than adding buttons to the website to 'follow us on facebook' or whatever.

So can anyone recomend a company that specialises in facebook pages - ie. design, running compeitions, getting likes and followers and so on?

Instead of assigning this project to a company you can create a buzz at Facebook easily. Just create different types of accounts & add more friends, you can use bots also to save time than market your Facebook page through status update, tagging to all friends & you can invite them to your pages too.

If you go to fiverr.com you can pay someone to increase your likes to 400+ (dont go for someone offering 2000+ likes, you only need 400 otherwise your page could get blocked). If you do this you can then pay and promote your posts which means your message is seen by followers and friends of followers.

The other key thing with this number of followers is you can actually get a decent FB url, if you setup a page and just say you call your page 'mygreatwidgets' when you first create the page your url will be facebook.com/mygreatwidgets03949847398754 but with 400 followers you can 'claim' the page and make the url facebook.com/mygreatwidgets

You can actually do poll/question type posts for free to increase engagement.

If you have a niche and know the geo/demographic of this group then you could run fb ads which if they are targeted will be quite cheap.

Lets for example: What if you are having 2000 likes but none of them is your target audience? What if your facebook page is not active or engaging with your fans? (i just seen your FB page having no user interaction !! )

To get success in social media, you need to define your target persona and by considering type of social media website, you will have to feed information your connection love to read and share.

I strongly recommend hire social media consultant who can really improve your business not just likes

that´s right!
you should be careful about getting likes to easy! at the end of the day, they are fake likes or useless, cause they´ll never create any interaction.
Honestly I don´t understand your question, why are you searching for an SEO company to run your FB page? SEO is important for websites and blogs, to get high rankings on google. FB never gets high rankings. it appears just in case, someone is searching for your company.

Fiverr 'likes' are produced from fake FB accounts anyway, so there's no chance they could be your target audience. However it does help to get the ball rolling. Think about it, who's going to like your page if nobody else likes it..

I find that going to socialise on other similar pages gets you noticed and gets clicks back to your FB page and maybe some likes, if you keep posting interesting things.

I didn't say that, in fact I specifically said do NOT do it, go for around 400 as its safer.

Again I spoke about the 400 as way of promoting posts and claiming the URL, not as demographic targeting.

But agreed what is needed as an SM agency as the key is *consistency*, you really need to be doing something on a regular basis.

We often get clients saying they've bought 1000's of likes from eBay. It's absolutely madness as they just do not seem to realise the accounts are fake anyway.

Consistency is very important, but content too!
You should never make your FB fans feel bored or even worse spammed!
They will unlike your page immediately.

What I want is a company that specialises in helping to get the facebook page going - advising me what to put on there, how to drive people there in the first place (ie. links on my website - what type, where, what should they say, should I be asking for likes or followers or both), running promotions that will encourage customers to follow me and so on.

And no I don't want to buy a bunch of fake likes, that is missing the point. As I stated I want to get the facebook page(s) going to reach my target customers to get our name out there, to get them talking to and about us - not just to get a facebook page with thousands of fake likes in the hope I'll get some seo benefit from it.

1. Devise a competition aimed at your niche market (use an app that enables users to gain additional entries the more they share like Woobox)

3. Sponsor products/posts using Facebook Ads
4. Make sure you include "like" buttons on your website blog posts/articles.

If you run a great competition, the right way, you can gain hundreds of likes over a few days.

Photography comps work well as people have to vote and by using a like gate they "have" to like your page.

You can lose a few likes after a comp - but it's the fatest, cheapest way to get qualified likes to a page. Don't "buy" likes from the Phillippines etc, it won't do you any favours - these people won't interact. Quality, engaging content and keeping the conversation going.

FB now has hashtags too, so if you have a Twitter strategy you can also apply that.

I use FB ads to target what people like in my demo, I interact every day, give freebies, have competitions, talk to everyone, share relevant info etc etc. IMO no one can do this as well as someone inside the business because they lack the passion for it.

Well, there is one answer, organise a regular meetup with details posted on your facebook page.

The key is to be social. No overt selling. Imagine you were at a party and people interact with you. Would you immediately start a sales pitch? (I hope not, or you'll likely get few invites back ) Most businesses tend to get this wrong - they advertise rather than interact.

To get genuine followers, you need to seek out groups that your customers might hang out in and interact. If you're actively posting interesting stuff on your facebook page, you'll naturally start to get followers.

You don't need a facebook page to get people talking. You need something interesting enough that people will talk about you. And other people talking about you is more valuable - hopefully they'll be saying nice things

Think about how you could generate referrals in the real world and translate that to the online world.
