Really need SEO advice on this one

Hi again..just about finished the site and to be honest I am well amazed with Google, I uploaded through webmaster tools this time yesterday and the site is showing in postion 3/4 page1 of google....thought you had to wait an eternity for googlebots to pass by..got quite a few pages indexed too.

Anyway it is a classified site for a certain market, really happy after 24hrs that the site is right up the arse of Numbtree but wanted to use these two key words/phrases

"Buy Market Segment"
"Sell Market Segment"

I am guessing right that the words "buy" and "sell" are a pain when it comes to climbing the google ladder?

Some of you may already of guessed it was using a joomla site from other posts so I have got a couple of questions and please remember it is a classified web page and the landing page is basically the same as Numbtree with different categories of market segment so the content text/write up side is quite weak and with the site only goin online from local at the weekend it only has about 25 listings from me using facebook etc

Questions
Do I:-
Use the seo section of joomla for each Category and sub category for keywords and Descriptions..or is this a waste of time and energy?

Just concentrate on getting people listing and the buy and sell will eventually come?

Sorry I will not post the domain name..not only will OWG kick my arse I dont want UKBF to out rank.

As always any help greatly appreciated on this one

Dont know if it makes any difference but approx monthly UK searches for "Market Segment" is 165000 so it isnt the smallest market in the world.

Thanks Ali will get to work on it today, but I keep reading that keywords have very little impact nowdays, so will it really make a massive difference.

After doing a little more keyword research Buy and Sell are a pointless excercise out of the 165,000 searches a month 350 search for buy and google has no figures for sell.

With a classified site would you concentrate more on getting people posting ad's...the reason I say this is that 90% of the ad's will have the keywords I am trying to rank high on, the titles and descriptions will be free flowing and not my robotic writing style

Could I also ask people with no posts that joined the forum 10 minutes ago and then try to rub their own egos with crap websites that a monkey could rank STOP PM'ing ME.

Ha Ha Ha - report them to the moderator - it a strike offence to PM without permission.

On the subject of keywords - there is a really bad mis quote flying around.
Matt cutts says that keywords have nothing to do with ranking.
translated = Actually what he says is that keywords are nothing to do with getting your "HIGHER" int the ranks - in effect spamming it wont help (bad SEO practice)
But he never at any point says do not use them.
Try using the analytic tools an see the variation in keywords when you put hem in place.
IMO - The help you get listed or indexed in the right place - just not help you get higher.
Also consider directories and other search engines that rely on them to find you.

Google may be the daddy, but Mummy is watching to.

Also consider directories and other search engines that rely on them to find you.

With match sticks in eyes and about 4hours sleep I spent hours dropping links in relevant places joined all the usual social networks Digg/Redditt etc etc created groups on Yahoo...Dmoz...Get my pension when that goes live, answering relevant questions on Yahoo Answers using source..name it I have done it.

Set up many Gumtree ads for my Classified Website haha..First attempt got kicked off...dont try and post 30 ad's in one go it will get you noticed by admin..I dont think a classified website likes to promote a classified website ) they said it was obscene/pornographic in nature haha

Ebay adverts I know I know you shouldnt promote your website but they have had plenty of 10% final selling fee's off me so lets call it clawback.

And now will be writing Keywords etc for every 100 Category/Sub Categories

Thanks for any help and any more pointers will be appreciated
