Hi

Anyone with ready made meal experience that can help?
Looking for some guidance on the following:
1. Packaging
2. Nutritional facts
3. Getting into door of supermarkets / retail

Thank you

HH

And how much are you willing to offer for this assistance? OR is this a case of you have a vague idea and think someone will help you turn it into a money making venture for zero?

BTW i know zip about this, but imagine that anyone that does is not going to be inclined to make your business for you

@APW - The actual product is there. We cook/manufacture the product and sell on a daily basis. We have a line of 4 products.

We don't have nutritional contents as its not a requirement. But if I want to sell this to the mass market then I would need to add as its a USP and a requirement.

We have packaging at the moment, but its pricey and we just [urchase from the cash&carry, similar to my point above if I want to enter the mass market then I would need better packaging and cheaper but not compromising quality.

Supermarkets - currently selling via website and small independent shops and outlets. With the feedback I have received, it would be a big hit at the big boy shops.

@beasty - from my understanding this is a forum to get free guidance and help for new start-ups & those who lack with the expertise and contacts within their desired markets.

So yes I was hoping a white knight from this industry would offer me some free guidance/advice/contacts

OK, the answers you are getting are not what you wanted. The problem is that your first post reads as if you have done nothing at all to find anything out yourself. Might be true - might not. You need to demonstrate the effort you have put in already. White Knights do not help lazy people.

No it's not a forum for free advice. It's a forum to discuss business matters for businesses at all stages, not just start-ups.

You would have got a much better response if you had started by saying what stage you are in your business and then seeing if you can offer help as well as ask for it.

I think it's a little unrealistic for you to expect someone who knows nothing about you or your business to introduce you to valuable contacts.

Well done for getting to where you are with your business. Have you approached the business team at your local council, your local chamber of commerce and/or regional business network or incubator space, they may be better placed to link you into support that might be available to help you develop your business.

    Good luck.

Wow WW - why such an aggressive response.

The OP is a newbie to the forum - like yourself and hasn't worked exactly how it works.

No need to jump down his throat.....he hasn't asked for a business partner - just wants to know where to go for advice and support. It's already been pointed out to him by others this help is unlikely to be free...why ram it down his/her throat?

My comment was a light-hearted response to the fact that someone was perhaps asking for too much information in one go from their first post. The use of "haha" was used to indicate I was being light-hearted. Again apologies. Since I was responding to the fact Heyzeus already indicated they wanted free advice/contacts/guidance I don't think they would have taken too much offence. :(
