Random driving urges

Does anyone else get random dangerous urges to do something stupid dangerous when driving like taking both hands of the wheel when on the motorway, trying to drive for a bit with eyes closed, tempted to flick the bonnet open or pull the key out of ignition when driving?! Of course I don't do, and haven't done these things but the temptation is strong sometimes and I really have to stop myself. Scare myself sometimes!

Chill your beans peeps I never said I WOULD do such a thing, and I most certainly definitely wouldn't but I'm sure many people have had a random moment of temptation to do something silly when driving, or any other task to be fair...For the record, I drive extremely carefully because I realise that by driving I'm using a weapon that is a risk to not only mine and my families lives, but other road users and pedestrians.

My REG is PHOOCK OFF!

No....but then I do live in Las Vegas so driving normally is a hazardous thing to do on a day to day basis anyway!

I have random driving urges but they aren't associated to a motor vehicle...no it can be many things or issues that triggers the thoughts. However the mellowing of age and the decision making capability keeps the finger off the trigger. Does that mean that as I get really old I will only be able to think about things but be unable to carry them out... Hardy har har eh what!! ....Good Luck..Quo Vadis..Frank

I have, I have, I have!!!



I was being tail gated by a taxi driver once many years ago when I had a lovely white Metro, I decided that when I get around the corner, I'll stick it in third and put my foot down as he was indicating - As I came to the corner, I wacked it into what I thought was third gear in my four gear metro (me thinking I was still driving a 5 gear car I might add!! ) turned the corner and put me foot down.

As I joined the motorway at 70MPH I looked into my mirror, and saw that the taxi had barely just turned the corner! I was laughing so much it was absolutely brilliant... until my ex-wife pointed out that the car sounded really loud for some reason and asked what was wrong... I looked down, and only then did I realise that I was actually in second gear!

My random driving urge is to run people off the road when they do something stupid. There's a roundabout near me where people insist on making an illegal right turn from the left hand lane. No idea why so many people think it's acceptable, but they always try and push you over to the 2nd lane as you exit. Well... not me Sir, you take your chance.

Don't get me started....there are some really stupid drivers around. We have narrow streets here in Framlingham and my pet hate at the moment is drivers pushing through when there are cars parked on the right of the street (making it single carriage). They then look with an air of arrogance, while I wait, as though it's their right :|
