Quote for business insurance in a wooden building

Hi all, are there any insurance brokers on here who can quote for a business based in a wooden chalet type building? I already have insurance & 1 yrs no claims via the FSB but I'm fishing for quotes for buildings, stock, & liability insurance.

this shouldnt be a problem at all any old broker will cover it. the online ones probably dont have the right tick box

As soon as you mention "wooden building" most of them run away!

We can take a look at this for you, you do need to have a chat with a broker as stated above the online systems usually on look after the strait forward items.

We have placed these before & is fairly strait forward

Yes, wooden structures do create a problem for many insurance companies. However, it's always possible to have a tailored quote done for you. Something like this usually needs to be done over the phone / face to face so that the insurer is fully aware of your circumstances.

An update, I called your office & as soon as I described the business (motorcycle accessory import/distributiuon) they said no way!

Ah, that'll be because we don't currently cover the vehicle sector, I'm afraid We're looking into it but for the moment we can't cover that trade.

There are other brokers or underwriters that are happy to cover it though.

Speak to my friend Dan Page there, he'll give you a no bull answer as to a) if they can insure you b) if it's likely to be a problem/expensive
