Quick question about leaflet distribution

Have you ever wanted / thought or gone ahead with a leaflet drop.?
Have any of you recently done a drop yourselfs and what success did you have / if any
?

hello mate they do work, but you'd be better off going through the search and looking for leaflet distribution as theres a few good post on here that will answer ya questions more than i can.

I reckon it depends. If it's a local service or it can be defined by geographical area it's one possibility. Just bear in mind most people consider leaflets dropped through the box or inserted in a local newspaper as junk mail. So if you do do one, test it properly - get a graphic designer to do it and never be guilty of one of those awful DIY jobs!

By testing I mean do a few, follow them up and see how it's working before you distribute a high volume. No point dropping and leaving - you need to find someway of following it up

It depends very much on what you do and what type of customers you want to gain. Can you give us more details; we might be able to be more accurate.

My own results are that it's fantastically effective, though many in my game (window cleaning) would tell you that it's a total and utter waste of time. Get it right and it can work.

I am the proud owner of a very successful leaflet distribution service.
But it was aloooot of hard work.
When you start off your basically on your own doing drops of about 500 to 1000 on your own.
(your hand tends to get a little swore)
but when the clients come rolling in, trust me it iis sooo worth it.
gradually you start to expand.

As an owner of a printing company I have seen an increase in the number of joint ventures with leaflet printing & distribution.
Just get another (non competitive) company to advertise on the reverse of the page and share the printing & distributon costs.
As I also run a local business promotion & online marketing company can offer my no.1 tip - make sure you put a link to a webpage that will ask for their details & subscribe to a contact list. This can be gold when you have a special offer or promotion!

What is the going rate for a solus 5k - 10k leaflet delivery? We have had a couple of quotes for delivering an A5 product flyer along with a small A5 size Cartridge Recycling Bag and want to know if these quotes are competitive?

We did a large, local, distribution of leaflets for the Sneaker Lounge. It did work, and did generate some visits to the Lounge. The cost of it was less than I expected, but it did take a lot of time to do the distribution - hence the benefit of using someone to do that for you.
