Question regarding importing Saffron to the UK

Hi all,

I am looking to import Saffron from Spain, Greece or Turkey into the UK.

Does anyone knows what the laws are surrounding this?

The main things I need to know are:

Is there a limit on quantity?
Do I have to pay import duty?
Do I have to pay VAT

I have been informed that it is zero rated, but would like this confirmed

I would be intending to sell it on in smaller batches so would not be for personal use.

Spain and Greece are in the EU so there would be no taxes to pay, Turkey is not so you would have to pay the taxes to import from there.
