I've been told where i store the gas bottles that it needs to be lined with a fire resistant material that can burn for up to 30 minutes. One person i spoke to says some people use fibreglass which he didn't understand as it needs to be able to burn for 30 minutes, it needs to be able to stop the fire getting out. He didn't say it couldn't be done though, he just checks the vans and then decides whether they pass the inspection or not.

I was looking at fireboard and it is pretty expensive. They don't tell you much when you talk to them, maybe they're not allowed to and that's what the inspection is for.......to tell you what you need to do to pass and get your certificate but i really wanna do it on my own but i'm really stuck as to what i could line this box with that is fire resistant and can suppress fire for 30 minutes. The way he sounded on the phone he didn't like people using fibreglass.......but he didn't say you COULDN'T use it. So i don't know if it is a conflict of what is legal and what his own personal opinions are. Maybe there is something in fibreglass that is fire resistant. Do any of you guys know of any kind of material i could use to line the box where my gas bottles are kept?
