A client has advised me that he has seen Sage Accounts for sale on ebay and asked if i think it is better him buying this than going direct to Sage.
I am not a fan of ebay as i got stung (it was sorted out tho) therefore i do not go near it. What are your thoughts? Is it a case of 'caveat emptor'? Do you know of anyone who has bought it from there?

Many thanks in advance

I suppose there is nothing wrong with buying on ebay, just be aware that a license already used cannot be resold according to their terms so it should be new software.

I am happy to sell Sage software anywhere in the UK as an accredited reseller and also will pass on a good chunk of my commission. If I can sell enough Sage in one year Sage will refund my dealer fee - so it is in my favour to get more sales even at the expense of a proportion of my commission.

Please contact me via pm if you would like a quote - I would be happy to give you a call.

Are you looking to buy Sage as it is the best package for your needs or because it is Sage? There are many other packages out there that would probably suit you with a much lower price tag, if you let us know what features you require I am sure there will be a few helpful suggestions posted.

You can get real bargains in hooky software, oops, pre-used software, on eBay, and you can get some real tat. I'd suggest that whatever your client ended up paying for Sage he would end up with real tat.
As someone just posted, the more pertinent question is not why ebay, but why Sage?
