Hi,
I'm in the process of going full-time self employed, and looking at the insurance aspect.
I have worked self employed before, but handling a single specific trade (market trader)
To go full time, I need to run two or three different trades at the same time, Namely IT consultancy, Business Consultancy and (the wildcard!) Furniture restoration & Repair.
Looking at public liability insurances, they will only cover specific named trades, and not provide a 'blanket' cover for what I would wish to do.
Will I need to take out separate public liability insurance for each trade I perform or are there companies out there who can be more flexible?
I guess the same also applies for professional indemnity, but that mostly apples to the IT side of the proposed business so thats OK.
Any recommendations?
Many thanks
