Public Liability Insurance Cert

I am currently preparing a submission for a contractor. This contractor employs subcontractors

These subcontractors need lublic liability insurance and have forwarded me their schedules, but I am having problems obtaining the certificates. I have spoken to their insurance brokers and they have advised me they do not issue certificates for Public Liability!!!

Does anyone on her know if this is correct???

hi, i was a contractor (in the film industry) but i dont think the type of industry matters regarding Public Liabity Insurance.

I had combined Employers and Public liability Insurance. I received a Employers Liability Certificate from my brokers on behalf of the insurers. The main insurers were ACE insurers. I didnt receive a PL certificate. But i did receive original documents prooving I was fully insurerd. My client wanted to see all documents and confirmed by telepohone call to my broker to confirm I was fully insured. If this is done, there may be no need for a specific PLI certificate.
