Hi,

I'm looking for someone to build a property lettings website for me.

I want the ability for Landlords to advertise their properties via the website as well as the ability for Tenants to be able to search for matches.

I am interested in obtaining some quotes. I have a requirements document which I will only share after an NDA has been signed.

If you are interested, please provide your company details, examples of your work, approximate costs (even if broad), and estimated time to completion of your portfolio examples.

Thanks
Steve

I might be able to assist you with this, I run my own web design and development house. (39forte.com)

I would be more than happy to provide you with a quote, following on from the provision of a few details with regards to what is required and what sort of budget you are working to.

Just so you can get an idea of my experience; I have worked in web design and development for the past 4 years, during which time I have been responsible for delivering design work for clients such as Manchester Airport Group.

All the best,
Josh

hey what about posting the quotes on the forum. I'd be interested in seeing what other web devs would charge to do a rightmove website.

I'm havent the compacity to take on more work at the moment. but
if i where going to do something like that i would estimate it to be:

12 months work for which i'd charge about 100k .

i'd love to know if there are lots of devs pming you with quotes of 2 and 5k etc.

It may not be 12 months work. It depends what features are required and the budget.

If there is already a solution out there which can be customised, then an out of box solution can be used. If it has to be bespoke, then yes it would be a full years work.

Strange thread to dig up.

As to the "right move" comments..... I think that most web developers should know that when a potential client says they want a website just like XYZ (big brand name) then you always need to take it with a pinch of salt and question what they REALLY want and need.

Many people when thinking about their new potential site only think of the front end/ public elements of the site and not about the back ends/ admin/ interfaces etc nor the level of complexity running a site of that size is in terms of load balancing etc. A "like rightmove site" can be a straight forward lettings site and not really mean they want to be able to intergate with the top 50 estate agent packages to allow automated publishing of properties along with full automated house pricing from the land registry etc.

I agree with Astaroth everything can be straight forward and easy to develop or a bit more complicated if we want to integrate it with 50 different estate agents packages.

Regardless, good websites from design to completion always take time if everything is done properly.

Our company offers Flash, HTML, PHP support. We work with the best designers and developers so if someone would like to team up with us on this proposal please send us private message.

Kind regards,
