Thank you So do I pay vat on them as I would on a normal bouquet? Sorry I know I sound really dim I just find tax/vat so confusing. I do have an accountant but I hate to keep bothering her all the time. Should I make a note then of the cost of the display stock seperately from the sale stock?

I would be tempted to keep the items for display purposes separate from Stock.

Stock is only really for goods that are to be resold. If you are buying a certain amount of flowers etc.. for display purposes only, then this needs to split out as Shop Display Costs.

you reclaim the VAT on the Purchase as normal, you dont have to pay any vat on them as you are not selling them.

I can give you another idea about promotions First you should analyze your product on which you can give discounts. Then make that promotion products.Giving more and more discount you can do promotions of you products. It is very easy to make product but selling is the main thing.
