Profiling Web Host Server Info

Hi.
What I'm trying to find out is... a website has been designed by a company and is being hosted by yet another company. I'm pretty certain it's a streaming server because the movies are very fluid though they're bound up in a Flash front end. (As far as I'm aware Flash cannot 'stream' video or create the impression of it). I'm curious, would like to dot this 'i' for certain - be in a position to say "definitely not". Anyone know of any free web tools that will profile a web server? (I don't have access to the web server in question, even the long way around like asking someone to ask someone to ask someone, if you follow). Thanks.

I do hope you don't mean gaining access to the server illegally ;)

Flash can stream video using flv files, more info here:

    ...access to the server illegally
Not the faintest bit interested, nor any idea why I'd want to gain illegal access - truely.

Some time ago I came across in the logs to my own website a crawler with a url (I'm convinced it was Italian but with my memory...) which linked to a kind of 'whatis' lookup for the server... told you lots of (at the time) interesting but "when would that be useful" info about the server set up. Well., it would be useful to know now... and hunt as I might, I cannot find the bloomin' url now.

So... there isn't a "whatis" lookup for web servers (other than the one I think I might remember)?

    Cheers.

Yes, like that. The PCI scan will be far more than I'm looking for. The thing I looked at before had additional SEO info about the site being queried. How much more server capability info it had... ah, heck, I can't remember - it maybe didn't have any more than your example. I'd rather not download something. Beggar when you think something's not that useful so don't take care to hang on to it... always the way. Thanks for your help.
