Hi!

I am in the process of setting up a limited company which will provide locum pharmacy services in the UK.

I have professional indemnity insurance in my own right but my accountant told me that i need a policy to cover the company too. The problem is, the brokers I have spoken to dont seem to offer cover for Locum pharmacy work so Im a bit confused as to what to do!

I just wondered if there was anyone else out there who had the same experience - any comments/suggestions would be really appreciated!

Have you tried hiscocks?

I thought PII insurance was a personal insurance as the name implies.
Might there be confusion with third party/product liability insurance which would be corporate.

I'll have a look with our insurance team.

If you pay your employers wages, you have to take out public liability insurance AND employers liability insurance.

If you act as a agency/broker and the locum pharmacists are paid by your clients, they have to arrange their own insurance, you don't have to.

I'll check if we do PI cover (Professional indemnity insurance) for your trade.

You can always give us a call directly and we'll sort it out for you. 0845 450 9959
Or send me a private message through this forum.
