Professional help & advice needed

Dave Hybrid

Hey,

I have now got my business to a point where it breaks even and pays my bills. I'm now looking to take it to the next stage.

I current only work 1-2 full days a week if I add up all my jobs so there is massive earning potential if I could just get past this barrier.

I have tried various advertising avenues and although they work I'm not a patient man and want things growing faster. I either need help as I'm not marketing right or I just need to sit back and let things flourish.

Either way I'm seeking professional advice from companies who can market my business in ways I do not know or cannot do myself.

If you can recommend someone here that would also be very helpful.

Thanks,

Dave.

Hello Dave,

I check out your website and online shop ( not finished yet ). Online Shop seems to be much better for me.

In my opinion your should choose Internet Marketing solutions to promote your business, especially your future online shop.

E-Commerce have less costs and you can promote it in scale that you want.

There are many Internet Marketing solutions you can use it depends on your needs. If I were you, I'll use SEO, Google AdWords and Affiliate programs, these methods have the best ROI status.

Another point is that you will have to define your business goals first.

I hope you get some fresh ideas from this post.

If you choose this way and need more advice at Internet Marketing just let me know.

All the Best,
Martin

Hi Dave,

I noticed that your website http://www.custom-computer.biz is non functional at the moment, I would focus on getting that site up and running as soon as possible (It's got a great look).

I'm confident that you could be getting a great deal of business through this website through implementing a proper search engine marketing campaign and by exchanging links with relevant sites.

Is the website being developed at the moment?

Yes the site is being developed, it is being submitted to SE and linked to directories and such like. I'm holding on until the domain becomes better ranked before I launch. Also the second business will take time and money and right now I want to concentrate on my main business as it is already off the ground and as yet isn't fulfilling its potential.

What makes you two think the custom computer site can be such a success?

Cheers,

Dave.

e-Commerce business have a great growning statistics.

I'm sure that you realize the fact, that stationary PC wont be selling so good as laptops in future, but if you will orientated to Office's, you can sell them in huge amount in one sale. ;)

That's way I think you should choose this option.

Hi Dave,

The great thing is you already makes sales which means you must be doing something right! it is always difficult getting your first sale and if you are breaking even then thats a good thing.

What I would say is now you are set up and are making some sales it might help to look at your business in this light -

Say your business is selling wheelbarrows. you are not in the wheelbarrow business. You are in the business of marketing wheelbarrows.

So for you to expand your business you need to either get good at marketing or hire someone else to do it for you.

Now it is difficult to say without knowing what your business is but one of the first things I would be doing is getting a mailing list orgainsed. All the people who have ever bought from you or have made a query about your product. And send them an offer. After all if you provided them with good service then you already have a relationship there and that they trust you.

If it is the type of product that you can only sell only once to an individual or customer you can do two things:

Find other products that the customer may find useful that is linked to your business and offer them these.

And for new customers to build trust and establish a relationship why not give them something free. Maybe a users guide or a CD with an interview on it with you giving the benefits of your product with some tips regarding your area of expertise.

Thats only a few ideas - the good thing is you have a huge variety of choices to increase your business and your profits.

Best Wishes

This is the wrong way to go. What happens to any traffic that comes to that site in the meantime? Your losing potential customers you should be at least capturing their email addresses so you can tell them when the site will be available..

There is very little for search engine spiders to see, there is one page full of text and images. What leads you to believe these methods will create good rankings for a site that has only one page and no clickable links?

If you are going forward with the web end, which I think has potential (from analysing the main keyword to competition ratio), you will need a well rounded and thought-out strategy...

Just so I'm clear, I don't need any advice, sales pitches, general comments with regard the custom computer site, its a pipe dream and not something I am taking remotely seriously right now.

Thanks anyway and if anyone can advise on my offline business strategy as per the original post then please, fire away.

Cheers
Dave

Thanks for the advice but your missing the point, it's not about choosing, i can have both... it's about making the offline business work better.

OK, I admit, my mistake.

In my opinion "Marketingmind" give you a good advices in off-line marketing.

In off-line ideas, I can continue idea selling to offices directly.

Some of them have to change their computers for new, but now they don't know that.

You sould encourage them to do this.

How? Simple, say only about benefits.

That's my off-line idea for your business. I hope you like it.
