Hi,
I hope to get some help.

I have just registered as a self employed. And it is a first time I will need to ask previuos accountant to send me all paper work for my client. I beleive I will need to send a Professional Clearance letter. How would I do that? Can I email them or would I have to send a letter? Does the letter have to be on a headed paper?

Thank you for help

Iryna are you a qualified accountant? If so have a read of your professional body guidelines they set out how to deal with changes in professional appointments.

I've taken on a lot of new clients recently from other accountants and always request information from the existing accountant by email.

I am part qualified, I am siiting the last exam this November. As far as I know I dont have to be qualified accountant in order to submit tax return?

You don't anyone can call themselves an accountant  but most professional bodies have strict rules preventing students from practising.

I really do strongly suggest you check with your professional body, most require a period of post qualification training before you can apply for and obtain a practising certificate enabling you to practice.

If your professional body allows you to practice as a student bear in mind ML regulations.
