Product Upload in magento through excel file

Is there any way or plugins or code to add functionality to upload product through excel file. My developer told me that he can do but at the end he failure to do that. I am using 1.9.1 version of magento and mu hosting server is Godaddy.

Yes, you can upload products with a CSV (which works in Excel).

Other than that, it isn't really clear what you are asking or what the issue is.

Hi Kishorjha,

We've also used Magmi importer which is quite powerful. But can be complex to setup if you aren't a developer.

Magento's out of the box import system is ok which can be found under the System menu in the admin.

It all depends on what fields you are trying to import.
