Product Barcodes

Hi All,

I am in the process of creating a product that I will hopefully be selling lots of them but I need to get a barcode etc sorted so that I can add it to the packaging etc. Can anyone recommend a company to sort this?

Also are there any other things that need to be on the packaging by law?

I looked into this a while back, from what I recall buying one off bar codes can be quite expensive, if you're buying a lot it might be worth getting a membership with someone like gs1uk, you pay around £120 a year for 1000 barcodes. You'd also have to pay a joining fee which is around £107. The figures are dependent on turnover, but if you're starting off I would imagine it's under £500k a year?
