Hi all,

I'm on the look out for a list of private landlords with phone numbers if possible. I'm issuing grants for them for free loft & cavity wall insulation before this grant expires in November.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Shaun

Shaun,

It's a good idea but a letter or leaflet will not stir these men. Lanlords. They will bin it.

When grants first started the Council wrote to the tenant or home owner to say here is your Grant Approval Form, get in touch with the contractor and get it done, how many house owners do you think did, 0000000 / zilch. Even though we had completed the Application form and posted it for them. I was in this business for 20 years, we had to go around knocking on doors asking if the letter had arrived and when could we do the job. It was easy in those long gone days to sign up 20 in one street, with a 2 hour sweep. Now I understand its hard to get three a day on the knocker. Please email me if you need advice, to discuss the market, or to swap ideas. Up here they are paying £35-00 for a loft, and £45-00 for a cavity job. It seems to go up and down. One firm in Sunderland was playing the ' Give-Work and Work Experience for Unemployed Kids dodge, they were paying them a fiver, £5-00, a sale. I left this field in the late 1980s.

Hi Shaun

if you want to give me a call, or drop me a PM I can help. We can provide data on c.88,000 private landlords across the UK for mailing purposes. You will find that telephone numbers are c.10% of that volume. Mailing and email are really the preferred channels to contact them for offers/services. I can advise further if required.

Best wishes

Adam

I would really love to talk to you about it as it's something I'm really enjoying. I've been doing the work over the phone to be honest booking 10-20 appointments a day. It's all coming to a close in November as you may know. You may even know the company i work for or even the director.

Inbox me your number and i'll be happy to chat about it as it's something I've sunk my teeth in to big time!

Shaun,

the money is in converting the lead yourself, good leads you should get a tenner for,£10.00, providing the Surveyors gets inside and complete whats called a sit down appointment. Leads are odd things, 1 in 3 go down the Swanee, even though it's free you'd be surprised how uppity people get. A 2nd confirmation call is often needed the day before to re-check their interest levels and to firm up the appointment. Surveying houses is easy and 10-20 leads a day is excellent, but are you sure there good leads, do keep a record of the conversion rates, I'd look for 50%, but you might find overall 37.5% is what comes in. The problem is finding the house, catching them in and obtaining consent to proceed. In the UK DHSS are free, the rest pay, but a few firms are now offering free for all deals. Dig your feet in with the Surveyor and ask for £20.00 a sale, and £35 a double. Surveyors are hopeless at cold calling and knocking on doors so you have the upper hand. To email me just click on my name. Are you in Wales?

Shaun, I run a call centre in Australia where we used to run a similar campaign. I am in the process of setting up a new call centre in India where we can generate leads as per your requirement. We can work on lead conversion basis.
If this sounds interesting, then drop me an email with your number and i will get in touch to explain further.

Hi, We were fed up of the way our managing agents looked after our properties so set up our own agancy. Now established we are looking to expand but are finding it difficult to get a factual list of landlords contact details. Can anyone help please? Are there other ways of marketing to landlords as currently we have secured our services by word of mouth.
