Private Investor required

Dear All

I don't know whether you can help me but it is definitley worth a shot!

I am looking for an investor to invest £10,000 in my new business. The business is only at the start up phase and I was wondering whether others had been successful at securing funding at this very early stage?

I konw the general advice seems to be ask family or the bank but my family don't have any spare money and I have recently just bought a house so morgaged up!

Would it be easier for me to go for a private business loan, rather than to look for an investor?

The business itself is a service for the elderly and their family. My background is within the care sector for the elderly and I'm currently working at managerial level, so have the expertise and knowledge.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

1, you need a compelling business plan.
2, and then you need an attractive investment proposition to convince the investor.

I would maybe not mention the fact you just bought a house... to me that suggests you have no real confidence in the business. That money you spent on a deposit could have been used to fund it otherwise. If it was me I'd have rented for a year or two.
