Priorities - How do you value your business?

I read an interesting discussion on LinkedIn, the general question was about security.

Observations were made apparent that the SME sector didn't have any security measures in place until they experienced a burglary.

Understanding this forum delivers discussions based on Micro-businesses posed a the question of priorities which focus on security.

Sharing common ground, I run my business from home but I have researched and implemented insurance policies that safeguard the intellectual properties that enable my business to continue and deliver the results that I want. This even means their whereabouts during the business day...the primary reason being should we experience a fire or some other emergency that will impact on business performance. I would like to have the peace of mind that our practice could continue; even if we've created a positional bible that enables a replacement to deliver organisational development.

Other business leaders may observe the aforementioned as spying on their personnel but I observe it as a safety measure; I'd have peace of mind knowing that the rescue services, the Fire Brigade knowing where they are and being able to rescue them than leaving them for dead...what are your opinions?

Safety and security are both one of the great factors that a business owner should implement to make the business reach its goals. It's a good thing that you have posted this thing up, in that case business owners may become aware of the safety and security of their business.
