Price Comparision Legality?

Hi everyone, this is my first post on here. I am wondering if anybody know the legality of showing your own prices against your competitors.

Any help on this would be appreciated, as I really want to do this as i think it would boost my sales, but dont want to end up in a sticky situation,

thanks

Im not a legal expert but my view is, if it is factual imformation diaplayed on the companies website you can share this information.

So all of tesco's prices are listed on their website so asda can say we are cheaper on x,y & z because it is shown on tesco's website.

As far as I am aware you cannot ring a company pretending to be a customer to find a price and then share this info....

Hope this helps :)

You need to be accurate at all times. Unless you have a feed from their site, there is no 100% guarantee that the price you say they are selling it at, is the actual price at that time.

In addition, my mentioning them by name you're giving them free advertising. If they have a bigger range, or added services, you might lose out... just because you mentioned them by name.
