PR Agent/Strategist for Personal Branding - Do These Exist?

I'm looking for a strategy partner for my personal brand in 2022, but I don't know if these roles exist or what the name would be.

I run an IT agency that deals with web development and digital marketing practice and training, with a strong leaning on DEI. I need to work with someone on how to position my personal brand in this space: articles in the media, a strategy for my LinkedIn page, what conferences to speak at, find and occupy a niche.

More than an ego project, of course, all if this is for the purpose of building credibility and getting more work.

I know what a PR agent does. I know what a BDM does. I also know what a business coach is/does (but I'm not sure this is what I'm after). I'm just wondering if there is a one-stop shop role of these for personal brands and small business. It doesn't see efficient to work with 3/4 different people at this size.

If there is such a role, what are they called or does anyone have any recommendations please?

Thanks

Maybe Personal Branding Expert/Consultant? (or just add any other word like advisor, coach, guru, ninja)

Personal Branding, the way I understand it, is a combination of such fields as PR, marketing and communications. I can't see the role of BDM in this.

I can see the synergy between web development and digital marketing but not with IT and DIE (sic). Are you going to use the latter for personal branding?

You're right - I would have thought the most relevant title would be the Personal Branding Expert/Consultant as you mentioned.
Yes, I don't really need a BDM - I was trying to say that all this effort was to do more than positioning but to add more coins to the old piggy bank.

IT and DIE (I like it!) is just something I started speaking on (women in tech, women in leadership) as a result of some job roles I'd taken which led to some invitations to speak at certain conferences etc. I would like to expand on that, but it's not core to what I do - like I don't only take projects from women or have a female-heavy team, if that makes sense?

Lots of PR agencies and freelances do 'personal branding' for top staff in a company to build their credibility as experts in their field to help grow a companies corporate reputation.

So - they will help with your positioning, set up speaking opportunities, help you enter awards put you up as an expert for media opportunities, help you develop blogs and first person pieces on national and trade media etc.

Just to echo what @ethical PR has said, this is definitely an area that a good PR agency can help you with.

Most PR companies have services pages on their websites explaining what they do. Look for one that has experience in the areas of personal branding and thought leadership, ideally with case studies of clients they have worked with so you can see their output and success.

It's also worth looking for one that has experience working in your industry of IT as they'll know the conferences/awards etc and have a better understanding of the landscape you're entering. Good luck!
