    Hi

Sorry I haven't heard to them but there are thousands of us PR's out there and quite a few companies too that specialise in writing and distributing news releases.

If they have professional writers/ex journo's on board and they distribute to up to 600 relevant media contacts (though most businesses don't have that many media they would want or need to target) then it sounds potentially like its good value.

I would ask to talk to a couple of their recent clients for feedback and then make a decision.

    Good luck

    Hi,

Personally I have never come across this company before, but as ethical says, they say the right things but you should ask for client testimonials for examples of success.

You may also want to think about what your needs and expectations are. If you are looking for a traditional agency/consultancy to give you guidance and support as well as providing a press release service then these guys may not fit the bill as it looks like they only offer writing and distribution. It is worth giving them a call and asking the following questions:

    - will they build a specific distribution list for your needs or do they just send out to a generic list each time?
    - do they follow up the release of just click send and hope for the best?
    - how do they respond to 'out of office' replies? (ie. do they re-send to the alternative person suggested)
    - how do they respond to journalist enquiries that result from the release?
    - do they measure the results for you and provide you with cuttings?
    - what consultation and advice to they provide as part of the writing service (ie. will they chat through your news with you and advise you on what is the best angle to take and why)?

Essentially what I am trying to get across is that you need to be sure that your release is being done in a considered manner because if they are just writing what you ask them to and firing it off to a generic list of journalists then your chances of success are going to be much lower.

    Hope this helps.

    David

    Hi David

    Great advice.

But having had a quick look the company makes it quite clear that their service is just about writing and issuing a news release, not about providing a comprehensive PR service that includes advice, evaluation, selling in the story to the media, dealing with responses etc.

And at less than £150 to write the release, research and create a tailor made media list and distribute it, I wouldn't think anyone would expect to receive anything more than a basic service.

I suppose the OP will make a decision based on what they want to achieve by investing in their PR, their budget and their own expertise in knowing what will make their story stand out, being able to follow up with key journalists and being able to identify coverage secured.
