posting products on facebook groups - really good?

My friend gave me an advice that it boost his sales by 300% . You just need to join groups on FB and keep posting what you have for sale...

looks easy, and its free.

do any of you have any experience with that?

Sounds unlikely. You'll either get booted for spamming the group or will be trying to preach to other people promoting their products/services. A good social media campaign is built through interaction, building relationships and genuine fan bases not this way.

Think you would do better setting up your own facebook page and asking groups to like and share your page. You need to be able to interact with your audience on social media and this way you'd actually have people looking at your product who are actually interested.

It is good because it will help products and services of the website in term of increased visitors, strong branding, increased conversion etc. But before posting content in the Facebook’s group section at very first profile of the Facebook as well as its network should very qualitative because it will help to promote products easy and genuine way.

I started a shooting related page for the southwest area and to be honest I get fed up with spammers advertising shoes etc....all this does is annoy the other members of my group and the individual concerned gets banned.....so please don't spam other peoples pages

Yes, posting in Facebook page is really helpful for us because Facebook has lots of user and In between this user one of the user see your post and share this post at Facebook. Google cached your post. So, you have large benefit by posting at Facebook group.

I don't think that would be the best thing to do. I actually had worked for someone where i had to do there marketing through Facebook and i done a lot of research on this. Firstly i would suggest starting or adding to conversations and providing useful information as appose to just spamming them with pictures. I think it really is an art to attract potential clients on Facebook and the likes without making it too obvious and in your face. So just start chatting with people in groups and get involved and then link back to your business when the time is right. If you need more help just message me.

I couldn't agree more, social media is for being social. Do you watch TV for the programs or the adverts? Same with social media, you don't go on it to be sold to!!
