Postal problems anyone????

One of the greatest lies to be told is "I love you" only second to "The cheque is in the post".

Since the postal strike we have had no end of trouble with the post both receiving and sending, with first class routinely taking over a week!!!!

We are all in different businesses and locations here so I thought it might be useful to pose the question for my own sanity.

Is the postal system really that bad??

You are not alone - it seems that a one day strike is an excuse to mess up the whole system for a fortnight.
The sooner the Polish take over the delivery & sorting the better. At least they will put a little effort in.

I have had trouble with the post for around a year now!!!! Its driving me mad. Some of my customers thought i was just saying i had posted stuff and i hadnt, but then the recorded parcel would turn up 5 weeks late!!!!! Grrrrrrrrr

We are still having problems up here. We didnt get any mail in some parts of the Highlands for 3-4 days. Just last week I went to the post office and asked for a next day delivery and she said it couldnt be guaranteed !!!!

Great excuse for clients though....."oh it must be lost in the post !!"

Within the post three month we've had:

- our post and packages stolen
- post chewed up
- post taking far too long
- post being left outside if it is too big for the door
- postal redirection being handled by the postman scribbling our new door number on the envelope (not the new street name or anything) instead of the printed labels and then important mail, such as share certificates, go to the old address when he is off.

I'm sick to the point of can't be bothered....

Plus he keeps leaving the gate open so the local strays get in and :ahem: poop all over the garden (not good when you have kids). I'm thinking of saving it all up just for him....

I came back today to find a red card in leu of my post. Why couldn't they have left it there. Now i have to collect it and pay for parking. waste of my time....
