Postage

Hi all

I have received my first European order (from France) and would like to know the cheapest, signed for/tracked way to send it? The package is 10x10x4 and weighs less than 300grams and is worth no more than £40

Having looked on the Royal Mail site it appears that Airsure - http://sg.royalmail.com/portal/rm/P...s&keyname=rmPriceFinderResults&catId=23500532 is the only option for a signed for service and not just a signature as it leaves the UK (like the Int. signed for service).

Does anyone know what dimensions constitute an "Airsure Small Packets"? As it's cheaper than the plain worded, Airsure service?

Any help is greatly appreciated

Cheers

I think that the max size is

Length, width and depth combined must not be greater than - 900mm
The greatest single dimension must not exceed - 600mm

Airsure adds about £5 to the Airmail price. If the goods are worth less than £40, it may be worth self insuring, and claiming off the post office if the customer claims non delivery.

I send all my international parcels with Int'l signed for, very very few problems, even to Saudi Arabia.
You can still have the signature confirmed on the country's equivalent of ''Royal Mail''. I checked a parcel to France. The customer claimed they never received it but it had been signed for by a neighbour.Nerver tried airsure.

We also use international signed for and so far (fingers crossed) no problems with France, Italy, USA, Norway etc, etc.

Well done on the order by the way
