i have put a forum on my website where charities can tell everyone a little about themselves and charity minded people can comment etc etc
any members of ukbf who want to offer something to charities please feel free to also post your offer on my forum too that way hopefully more charities can get to find out about the kind hearted people on ukbf:)
this is not in anyway trying to take away from this forum as i have a great deal of respect for the help and advice available here im just trying to help spread the word:)

I have my own outsource company. I do have a website but im not sure i can write it here. I am currently looking for a company that I can work with promoting, selling or generating leads for.

I have a night shift available from 6pm to 9pm available. My staff are great and very dynamic.

If you think we could work together, please get in touch.

The charity field is something ive been looking in to lately.

request1 thanks for the offer but i think you misunderstood me
i am not a charity organisation i am a sole trader operating a competition website.
the charity involvement is due to the fact that i am giving 20% of my net profits to charity here in the uk.
i have recently placed a forum onto my site so that charities can introduce themselves.
charity workers can locate suitable charities.
and general people can get an idea of the hard work and dedication that these groups do.
etc etc i hope that clears things up a bit.
also if anyone wants to do any work for a charity group such as banners logos websites etc etc then they could also start a thread on there for charities to look at :)

thats very true about them not needing much in the way of funding lol
my forum is more about letting them spread awareness of what they do and where as i feel that there are an awfully large number of uk charities who get little or no recognition from the general public.
www.prizeamonth.co.uk/forum
not much on there at the moment but i am hopeful that as the site gets more attention then more charities will see the benefits of posting a small thread to raise awareness.
there are no fees or restrictions other than the obvious no swearing etc etc:)

Only a dozen of whom need any money if you judge the response at

    http://youthforcharity.blogspot.com/2011/05/list-of-charities.html

    Hi

I have worked with charities for the last twenty years, providing marketing/PR support so might be able to give a little insight here.

I don't necessarily think it's that they don't need the money, but that the website/concept is only a few months old and hasn't been very widely promoted that I can see through the media, online or through social media.

Charities may also feel that the need to be a Surrey based charity to benefit.

There are lots of grants/trusts/funds that charities can apply to, but this can be time-consuming for them. Charities therefore need to be quite business like about which ones they approach to enable them to get the best return.

wow ethical you have spent a lot of time doing that work :)
if any of the charities that you work with want to improve their web presence feel free to put a post on my forums they are all welcome as long as they are uk based that is my only limitation.
the reason being (before anyone claims racism lol)
my website is aimed at uk customers so any money that i make from the uk i will then donate some of that money back (to the uk people).
20% of net profits to be exact.
www.prizeamonth.co.uk/forum feel free to stick a message on there or pass the word onto charity groups :)

I am an independent Usborne book seller and I am currently working on a local book pledge for the Childrens ward at Chesterfield Royal Hospital. I am asking companies large and small to donate a few pounds to go towards new books for the hospital. For each £100 raised the hospital get a further £10 worth of free books from Usborne. There is no minimum amount to donate, every penny helps buy new books for the childrens ward. Each company that donates will have a book plaque pasted in the front of the book saying who donated the book. I am aiming to raise £1000 and then get a further £100 free books from Usborne this could buy over 200 new books. I am asking for the donations to be paid by the end of July at the latest then the staff at the hospital will choose which books they want for the wards as they know what is most suitable and the book order will be sent in the first week of August. By the second week of August the hospital will have their new books. I will be contacting the local paper when the books are ready to be delivered to see if they would like to run a story, mentioning some of the companies that kindly donated. If you would like more info or would like to donate message me on here or email me goodbooks at hotmail.co.uk

Thanks for your comments (and indeed thank you for your input when YfC was being initiated)

..... the website/concept is only a few months old and hasn't been very widely promoted that I can see through the media, online or through social media.
The Youth For Charity website has had 2050 hits at the time of typing this and I’m guessing maybe a thousand or more Tweets that led in part to those hits. We were on BBC Radio Surrey (the interview can be heard on the website) and there’s a Facebook page.

..... Charities may also feel that they need to be a Surrey based charity to benefit.

Yes, noted. We’ve changed the wording on the website to stress that UK registered charities do not need to be Surrey based to be eligible for part of the £20 000

..... There are lots of grants/trusts/funds that charities can apply to, but this can be time-consuming for them. Charities therefore need to be quite business like about which ones they approach to enable them to get the best return.

I note what you say but it’s still a surprise. All that is required is for the fundraiser to write a paragraph or two about the charity and then we’ll post it on the website. I could understand that charities might not bother if there were a thousand charities listed but at the moment there are just around 20....

Thanks for taking the time to look at the website – if you’ve any further comments then we’d be happy to hear them. All we are trying to do is help charities show the public the good work that they are doing - and give away the £20k too!
