possible partnership?

just wondered what peoples views where on the following business partnership/merger/thing that i've been thinking about.

i do basic web design for very small business/start ups etc and i also do the odd bit of free business planning help with start ups as well as selling advertising space in local brochures etc.

the computer shop i have used for the last 5 years doesn't have an active website, its just a contact page but they sell a wide range of pc's laptops accessories etc. they don't do deliveries during office hours and they don't pick up computers etc you have to get in the car and drive up there then park in the middle of the road rush in then try and find a parking space (impossible in the summer).

i want to combine the two! i'll build a new website in return for him supplying the products, laptops, accessories etc and i can also do deliveries and pick up broken computers in the local area. I also work between 10am and 7pm so deliveries can be made to your home when your back from work etc something he doesn't offer at the moment.

would that work? or have people found difficulties in this type of arrangement?

not yet! i'm just thinking out loud as it were...i had thought about it last year but there wasn't as much of a need then..delivery and web design are services he doesnt yet offer..i also want to use his services as a computer builder and for his VAR (value added reseller) i think with dell etc
