Portable printer

Hi
Am after a lightweight portable printer that will run off car battery or last well off its own battery power (will only be printing for a couple of mins per hour though). Have googled it but seems that most are photo printers and i need to print A4 (for on-site quotes for customers). Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced/reliable printer?

I have a HP Officejet H470 which has it's own battery and is very good. The only problem is it's not cheap! It is wifi as well so I don't even need to connect it to my laptop.

Printerbase have the HP H470 at a pretty good price: http://www.printerbase.co.uk/acatalog/hp_h470.php#a11323 (still not cheap). The problem with a lot of portable printers is that they are either not A4, or they are thermal printers, or the quality is not great.

If you want a mobile scanner as well I can highly recommend the Plustek OpticSlim M12 as well.

Why not just buy a normal printer and use an AC to 12v adapter? It would be alot cheaper than buying a dedicated portable one.

I've got one of those. You do need to be careful how many amps your printer draws although it shouldn't be a major problem. That assumes that you are using the printer in a car or course.
