When Boris quit, I expected an avalanche of gleeful posts, memes and cartoons on Facebook, but there wasn't one. Still aren't any. I know many of my friends and family wouldn't have missed an opportunity like this, so where are they all?

Is FB censoring/burying the stories about Boris or politics as a whole? If they are that is a real problem for everyone.

What does everyone else's feed look like politic-wise? Are you getting Boris-related posts or any political posts? (I'm on about from people you know, not promoted posts etc)

I can't see any reason why Facebook/meta would sensor uk news - but TBH I only use it for marketplace

Censor was probably the wrong wording on my behalf - maybe it is a leaning of the algorithm to push political stuff downwards if political stuff is not read

Presumably the algorithm is set to drive content that supports their sponsors and advertisers?

If you don’t follow political feeds then FB won’t show them in your feed.

If your friends posted political members you would see them. You don't have to be just following political feeds.

I never used to have any friends on Facebook, made one comment about investing some money into property, and now I have thousands of friends I never knew I had.

Must just be all my politically loud-mouth buddies being on holiday. From them, it is the sort of silence that makes you think about making some sort of welfare check (but they are posting on other stuff)
