Funny old place Plymouth - personnaly I love it, it has everything, but it seems to suffer from some apathy. Council certainly do do anywhere near enough to make the most of it! Just today I saw in the WMN that HMS Plymouth, an old Type 12 Frigate is rusting in moorings in Birkenhead. Council here could not get their act togehter to get a mooring for it in the City. What a great tourist attraction and draw that would be! Plymouth city councillours - hang your heads in shame!!!!!!

Looks like the smallest event ever! I am at a Network plouth event at Dartmoor Zoo on 24th (AM!), which has attaracted a big turnout, so will be there. Don't see the point of continuing with this, but watch this space, as I am organising a big event at Plymouth Gin W/C 9th May, (Date TBA), with a lot of big business there, potential 200 people like the last one at the Treasury.

OK, lets have one more try, and take the lead! With loads of bank holidays, Easter, Weddings, May Day and everything else, 2nd half of April is out, as many people are on holidays! I have therefore suggested dates and venues below, we put it to the vote and go from there. Please reply with your preffered date time and venue, then the best wins. This way we know if its worth doing by the response we get!

Dates:

Tues 5th April
Weds 6th April
Thurs 7th April - Please vote on best date!

Times:

7.30 am - Breakfast Meeting
6.00pm - Evening Meeting
7.30pm - Evening Meeting - Please vote on best time!

Venues

Marsh Mills Beefeater
The Tresury Central Plymouth
Plymouth Gin Cocktail Bar, Barbican - Please vote for venue!

Have tried to make these venues and times diverse as posible.

AIMS TO DO BUSINESS WITH EACH OTHER AND TO PASS BUSINNESS LEADS TO EACH OTHER!

If we get loads of other suggestions on times, venues, etc, will not be worth doign agian, so please stick to options above.

I know this discussion was over a year ago but did anything come of it? I'm new on here but have been running a national online business from my home in Plymouth for the past 4-5 years. Looking to meet with other small business owners in the area to brainstorm and network.

Hate to say it, but yes it still full of chavs! That's the main reason my business has no local uptake. The only time I ever get enquiries from Plymouthians it's to ask me to drop the price on something. Things are slowly improving though - we have a celebrity restaurant now after all!
