Plugin maybe? Not sure if this exists :)

I use WooCommerce on my store and tonight ran into an issue that can only get worse as stock range expands...

I have a range of products, lets say i have 50 products in one group, each product has 10 variations that are different RSP's - I want to change the prices of ONE variation in each of the 50 products so i need to load the product, expand the product variations, edit the cost and save, rinse and repeat 50 times.

So, is there a way or plugin that will allow me to use price categories or price bands - i'm not even sure what it would be called, maybe centralised pricing - just have the prices listed as ABCD in the products and in a separate area a page that says A=£5, B=£10, C=£13 and so on - then to change price i only one place to edit and all listings will reflect that change????

I'm sure its been done for large shops but no idea what to search for???

Thanks

It would certainly save a whole lot of time, especially for large inventories.

It matters not what the options are called, could be Price1, Price2, maybe just allow user to decide and create own list, on the product variation page you could have a drop-down box option of "Use Price Variable A, B, C etc or allow a cost to be entered as normal.

I was hoping there would be something running already but interesting if you will look into it :)

Thanks

    maybe centralised pricing

So I'm thinking this is what you are asking, sorry to be dense.

You have a set of price codes e.g.

    Low
    Medium
    High

In the product instead of using a value you can use a code. So you can then independently change the value of the code and it is reflected across the site.

This may well be possible as a plugin. You say no such plugin exists? If it did exist what commercial value would you put on it i.e. what would you be prepared to pay for the increased efficiency? Plugin approach is always preffered commercially if it has a market opportunity.

The alternative approach would be spreadsheet but doesn't have to involve editing manually, i.e. you add a custom field per product for the price code, the spreadsheet script extracts automatically based on the custom field, prompts you for a new price and then bulk updates the prices. Whilst I could easily build such a script monetising it ( for me ) is more tricky.

I used a similar thing before in open cart, the nearest thing I can find is the dynamic pricing plugin, there is this I found by typing in price bands to the wordpress directory but not used it: (can't add link as I'm a new member), just search plugins for price bands for woocommerce

Maybe try that? Not rated yet though
