Hello.

I need individual writers who can offer 800-1200 engaging content, with no errors, spelling mistakes. Writers with experience and background in international magazines, newspapers, big blogs. I already found few people here, but still looking for more good writers. Please don't hesitate and send me your samples by PM and your rates.

Best,
Matt:)

I think if you are looking for people who have written for international magazines, national newspapers or renowned blogs such as Indy Voices or Huffington Post, you won't find too many on here.

If you want a journalist you could try the NUJ freelance directory. However do recognise you will pay for quality, ability and knowledge and they wouldn't consider the sort of rates that have been discussed on this forum for website content writers.

    Still looking !

    No you are not!

You have had umpteen good offers from people here and you have even approached me, after reading some of my stuff. Your website is full of grammatical and style mistakes that urgently need fixing, but you are going to have to pay for good writers.

It is like anything in life, there is no need to pay vast sums, but if all you want to shell out is peanuts, all you will get is monkeys.

Yet in your marketplace thread you claim you are a team of journalists that can secure coverage in international and national media....go figure :(

No journalist can 'secure' coverage - that just ain't how the gig works! A section editor and the editor can be 'friendly', but even they are answerable to the publisher, who in turn is answerable to the group publisher, who sets themes, targets, styles and trends.

Editorial is there to capture eyeballs and eyeballs are there to sell advertising. The content of editorial is set by the editor and the overall editorial style, subject matter and targeting is set by the group publisher, who usually has the final say on what goes in and what is left out - depending of course on the degree of autonomy of the editor. Journalists may have the by-line, but they are skivvies who write about what they are told to write about.

    Thanks for your reply.
Your offer is good but not that good to take it at the moment. We do have orders from clients who are paying less than what you have asked. To be frank we do pay 100$-125$ per article (700 words), and I think I was clear that once I will be ready I will come and use your services.

And yes probably the website needs some fixing, lets talk about that. But not on the forum!

    Thanks!

So true...thought the OP calling out for writers with journalistic experience on one thread, while claiming on another thread, he could offer a service saying he had a team of journalists with international experience who could secure editorial coverage, just a little ironic.

I am "calling" for writers because I need for writers. And I think 100$-125$ for 700 words is not that low, considering that we have a lot of orders.
    Thanks for your observation!

    Er, you approached me!

If you want good US or UK journalists, you are going to have to pay standard rates, which are many times that figure. You are in the US and the standard rate for trade mags there is 60 cents per word and above.

I don't doubt that there are some kids and people in Third World countries out there who would be willing to work for that kind of money, as long as it is just subbing work, but good original texts from experienced writers who understand the subject matter is far harder to find than you might imagine.

I think I was clear that once I will be ready I will come and use your services.

    Thanks, but no thanks.

Thanks for your reply and update. Yes I did contacted to understand and see what you can offer. I think that's the way a cooperation starts. And all went well I think on our conversation. I really don't see why this went on a different angle now. I haven't offended or upset you at all, I haven't gave any reasons to turn around on me like this.

Anyway, my apologies if I asked too much, or I was rude with you or anyone on this forum.
At the end of the day I think no one wants to have a bad deal.

    Thanks!
