Phone numbers in PPC ads

Calltracks Limited

Do you know if you put a phone number in a PPC ad, it's click through rate increases by 10%?

Also, most businesses believe a phone lead is far more credible than an online enquiry.

Interesting stuff, keep tuned.

have been in the PPC game now for years and trialled, tested & exhauseted many avenues with call tracking, numbers in ads click to call etc and never seen a 10% increase in CTR% just because a number is added.....CTR% increases happen due to relevance, USP's, CTA, site links, extentions & numbers too. It is a real mix of lots of stuff....many folk now are beginning to really utilise in site call tracking where individual numbers are served up or specific numbers displayed for specific themes, this in some cases makes ad numbers irrelevant as this will immediatey become redundant once entering site....just some ideas....

Thanks CallTracks, and I agree that it can improve conversion rates, but like most other things, only in certain cases, and in certain sectors (we use one of your competitors -sorry!).

Call tracking is imperative to complete the full picture of ROI from digital marketing and it should be set-up in all circumstances where traffic is being purchased and a phone number appears on the site.

If your PPC management company is managing your campaign and has not suggested call tracking, they probably aren't up to it.
