Phone Calls from Robots offering Home Energy Efficiency Surveys

I've had, well, I'd say about 4 or so such phone calls over last few weeks.

When I confronted one of them and when I said ' are you a Robot? You certainly sound like a Robot.

The Robot replied ' I'm terribly sorry if I sound like a Robot but I am new to this job so I have to read from a script. Can I continue?'

To which I said ' I still think you are a Robot '

And then the line went dead.

I hate those calls, I seem to get 1-2 of them a week either offering me a job, querying my recent 'accident' or energy costs. It seems epidemic having robotic dialers calling up scripted, or some of them just saying I have a job for you, send me WhatsApp type messages and hang up.
