Pet Supply Business

Hi everyone, I really need some help, I've been making all sorts of pet supplies for about 2-3weeks now and just selling to family and friends, but I really want to make a proper business of it, working from Home.. I've been told there are some legal requirements to do this, But I've looked online and I can't find anything that is helping me! .. Could someone please help me out? What licences do I need to sell pet supplies, Like... Handmade Pet beds, Personalised Pet collars, Pet treats (shop bought but put into individual packaging, I'm not handmaking them), E.t.c ... Can anyone help? Thanks.

Hi

The legal requirements relate to general trading ............registering for VAT, etc etc, speak to a local accountant regarding this, but as you are just starting there is no hurry as you have to have a turnover above a certain threshold in order to register.

If you are buying and selling in the UK, there are no specific licences you need to sell pet supplies.

To get on the right footing when starting, a local accountant should be able to advise ( with no charge )
