On a long journey home last night after nearly running over a deer, fox and rabbit it struck me that I love nature.

When thinking about the pet shops in this country, don't you think it's cruel that these animals are stacked up in cages or locked away in rooms?

Personally I had a eureka moment or an epiphany, why isn't there an outside, open-air petshop that people can go to and pick their animals out from the wild? obviously there will be a level of control to keep the animals within a perimeter but it's more natural that way.

Because if you have that facility you have a zoo, and if you have a zoo you keep your animals, anyone taking animals from a zoo is likely to betaking them to a worse life.. i.e a house rather than a park etc

Why not just leave the animals in the wild... rather than lock them up and try and sell them

Are you really an animal lover?

Well sorta, Zoos buy and sell and swap their animals fairly often. New attractions need space, in with the new out with the old.

The problem will be when the fat kids sits on a rabbit and kills it.

Or when the nutters try tearing it's ears off.

Or when someone tries to sue you because the cat scratches them, the dog bites them, they fell in llama's poo etc.

I had the same idea too.

Then I thought, well isn't it a bit like a zoo where people can come and buy the animals?

Aren't zoo's sectioned off by species because some animals just don't get along with other animals. Even among animals of the same breed there are personality types that don't really get along with anyone.

You will need a lot of space and people to watch over the animals to make sure they don't get in to any mischief with each other. What will you do with animals that decide to copulate? You now have more mouths to feed.

There are a lot of unknown factors you need to deal with, but if you can somehow sort them all out them good for you.

This does happen too. When I was a zoo student, some kids killed the new baby chicks (in their easily accessible unsupervised hatchery) by literally squeazing them to death deliberately. Horrid horrid kids.

A few bad eggs always manage to ruin things for others.

Meanwhile as for falling in poo, I have more than one tail to tell zoo poo!!
